I contacted this business to brush up my skills on CPR and they offer a hands on class that I believe is 1.5 hours and cost 35.00. They offer even better CPR certification classes with first aid too. They are highly trained professionals that want to ensure that you don't panic when caring for others. I would highly recommended this company and will be paying the extra for a human contact training vs the computer.

Hospital called as I am not able to get my wife anywhere. GEMS billed Medicare so we got that rate. Rate seems high for 1-way transport from hospital to home.
They are 'an ambulance' transport.
Ask questions before saying yes.
My wife said ride was smooth and attendants took great care.

Throughout the training, I had A LOT OF QUESTIONS! Some were stupid due to fears and past experiences of shock, while others were more complex and geared toward specialized situations. Yet, all of them were answered effectively with the use of mannequins, other willing victims (class participants) or illustrations on the board.

The course involved tons of repetitive hands on instruction to the point that I felt absolutely confident in taking the lead when pairing up to administer a life saving skill on a dummy, or simply respond aloud to questions.

I'm not only grateful for the instructor, Robert Hoey; aka Captain, but also for my awesomely accommodating classmates! Nobody acted disgusted or irritated by my overzealous need to get my concerns addressed, (not even my teen age daughter who attended the course with me and was late to a party as a result). That's how engaging and impressive the course was!!!

Many of the skills we learned involving first aid were so Incredibly easy and time-saving that most of us sat there dumbfounded about the simplicity of them! Definitely nothing like the complex bs knots and splints that I tried to learn before.

Despite my overall confidence in what I gained from this course, I have no hopes that someone will befall trauma or medical emergency, but if they do, I trust that the days of shock and bewilderment once crippling my ability to help will be a thing of the past.

It was amazing and we all learned something new from it.

Awesome instructor who has actually been overseas and saved many lives. He taught us CPR/AED and the abdominal thrust for those choking. He is very thorough and entertaining. He made the class very enjoyable.

This is the best place to get CPR and first aid training. Reasonable price, small class size. Our instructor Robert Hoey was fantastic. Knowledgeable, patient, very experienced in all facets of emergency medical response. The class is 2 1/2 hours long (for CPR; longer if you add on first aid) and I wasn't bored for a single second. I plan to go back another time for first aid training which everyone should know!

Funniest CPR class I have ever taken the ypung guy that teaches the class is very easy going and informative. I will be returning in 2 years.

This is the best CPR/AED and First Aid for adult children and infants in town. Taught by professionals in EMS with experience. Not only do they teach CPR/AED and First Aid but multiple other classes like bloodborne pathogens, fire extinguisher safety, a babysitter course, Emergency medical technician EMT classes and so much more. Also for advanced care professionals they teach ACLS and PALS. I would recommend GEMS to anyone either beginning or already at an advanced level.

Amazing! My instructor, Robert Hoey, was a very informative and effective teacher. He broke things down in a way that was easy to understand and all the hands on training gives you a better idea of what things might be like in a real situation. I'm coming back with my co-workers for more training.. I can't recommend this place enough.
